Blinds in Gallo Manor

Family homes and clusters east of the M1, with hard-working west glass and gardens people actually use.

Gallo Manor mixes older stand-alone family homes with newer cluster developments, and the two need slightly different conversations. The older houses tend to have smaller, more numerous windows in solid walls; the clusters have fewer, bigger openings and sliding doors onto a compact garden.

What they share is the west problem. A great many Gallo Manor living rooms and bedrooms take the full afternoon sun with nothing shading them, and that is where the quality of the specification shows. Indoors, blockout rollers and aluminium venetians handle glare and privacy; where the room genuinely overheats, a roller shutter or a zip screen outside the glass does what no indoor fabric can.

Gardens matter here too. Where the family lives on the patio in summer, a folding-arm awning gives shade that folds away for the winter sun — and it does it without posts taking up the paving.

How it works in Gallo Manor. Same as everywhere we go: a free in-home measure with samples, a written quote itemised per window, then made to order and fitted. Nothing is manufactured until you have said yes to the price.

Questions

Gallo Manor questions

The ones people in this area actually ask us.

We have an older house with lots of small windows. Is that a problem?

Not at all — it is just more openings to measure. Every blind is made to its own opening, so a house with fourteen different window sizes gets fourteen correctly-sized blinds.

What is the best fix for a west-facing lounge?

If you want to keep the garden view, sunscreen. If the room is used in the evening too, a double blind with blockout behind. If it genuinely overheats, stop the sun outside the glass — that is the honest ranking.

Can you quote the awning and the blinds together?

Yes. One visit, one itemised quote, and you can take out the awning later if the timing does not suit — the pricing is per item for exactly that reason.
