Blinds in Sunninghill

Newer complexes, cluster homes and estate stock just north of us — and the same repeating window schedule we work with in Rivonia every week.

Sunninghill is newer than Rivonia and it shows in the windows. Aluminium frames, larger panes, stacking doors onto a small private garden, and complexes built recently enough that the units really are identical to each other. For blinds that is close to ideal: one measure covers a unit properly, and the sizes repeat so cleanly that a second unit in the same complex is quick work.

The problem here is glass area. Modern cluster stock gives you a lot of window per square metre of room, which is lovely in June and punishing at four o’clock in January. Blockout rollers deal with the bedrooms, sunscreen keeps the living rooms usable without shutting out the garden, and where a room genuinely bakes we would rather talk about stopping the sun outside the glass than sell you a heavier fabric.

Most Sunninghill complexes also have something to say about the street side. We specify a uniform backing colour and keep the headbox line consistent across the elevation, so the outside face reads as one decision rather than eleven.

How it works in Sunninghill. Same as everywhere we go: a free in-home measure with samples, a written quote itemised per window, then made to order and fitted. Nothing is manufactured until you have said yes to the price.

Questions

Sunninghill questions

The ones people in this area actually ask us.

Do you charge extra to come out to Sunninghill?

No. Sunninghill is inside our normal working radius, so the in-home measure is free and carries no obligation, the same as it is in Rivonia.

Can you fit several units in the same Sunninghill complex?

Yes, and it is the efficient way to do it. Repeating window schedules mean one visit can measure several units, and neighbours often combine the appointment. Mention it when we call.

What about the body corporate rules?

Bring them to the measure. A uniform backing colour and a consistent headbox line is standard practice for us in complexes, and if there is a written specification we will quote to it rather than guess.
